Don't Smoke Gas while stepping on the gas
With more state
legalizing marijuana, should you be nervous about people driving under the
influence? Obviously, yes. Chronic marijuana use impairs driving performance
and doubles the risks of collision, according to a study in the Forensic
Science International. Scientists did 9 studies on 49,411 participants,
assessing judgment, motor performance and perception. It was concluded that driving
high can double the risk of a motor vehicle collision as opposed to driving
sober. The effects of THC are riskier within the first hour so lookout for high
drivers as they may weave in and out of lanes and react slower to traffic
lights.
