Election Stress: Did you Have it?
Have a post-election hangover? Most American's do. The 2016 presidential election, caused more stress for 52 percent of American's, according to the American Psychological Association. People who found the election to be a significant cause of stress have a much higher overall stress level than those who didn't. The online survey conducted in August 2016 polled 3,511 adult americans, by Harris Poll on behalf of the APA. Researchers believe social media to be a main benefactor to what caused so many Americans stress. The poll also showed being a minority and having a disability also contributed. It’s recommended ditching Facebook and Twitter during elections will help you stay sane, according to the APA.
